Greenwood Pathway House is a compassionate, caring, Christian organization that provides short-term housing, food, support, and training for homeless men, women, and single parents with children from Greenwood and Abbeville County.

We offer a safe place to stay so you can focus on learning and putting into practice the skills necessary to transition from life on the streets to becoming a productive member of the community.

We Serve Individuals from the Following South Carolina Locations:

  • Greenwood County
  • Abbeville County

If you are not in our service area, please contact another shelter for help.

What We Do NOT Provide:

  • We are NOT a recovery program
  • We are NOT a detox facility
  • We are NOT a medical facility
  • We are NOT a mental health facility
  • We do NOT accept clients that are on methadone, opioids, or any narcotics even with a valid prescription.

We offer a safe place to stay and the support needed to transition from life on the streets to ongoing self-sufficiency.

Admission Requirements

Intake hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

  • The individual seeking help must be in Greenwood or Abbeville County.
  • Not intoxicated
  • Not a registered sex offender
  • Agree to abide by all guidelines and fully participate in all program activities
  • Be mentally and physically able to exercise proper personal hygiene and self-care.
  • One suitcase and one backpack maximum of personal belongings.
  • We only accept clients with 1st shift jobs.
  • Children must remain in the care of their parent at all times.

Cold Weather Shelter

We provide cold weather shelter from November 1st to March 31st when temperatures are forecast to drop below 40 degrees. Cold weather shelter is open from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

All cold weather guests are required to leave the campus at 7:00 am. Weapons, alcohol, and drugs are prohibited at Greenwood Pathway House
